Inspection will not be scheduled until all required items indicated on this checklist have been submitted to and been approved by the Public Works Department. Construction that occurs without the benefit of inspection is categorically deemed "at risk" and is subject to removal upon demand by the Public Works Department. "At risk" construction is a permit violation and may lead to an immediate cease and desist order including removal prior to continuation of construction. A construction deficiency form will be issued to the contractor and developer/owner for all "at risk" construction. The contractor, and the developer/owner, assume all responsibility and costs associated with the removal and replacement of improvements installed prior to authorization by the Public Works Department, or which do not meet the requirements of the City of La Quinta.
