Dear Mrs. Cleek:
The City Council on September 6, 1989, concurred with the
Planning Commission approval of the above referenced matter.
The Conditions of Approval are attached for your records.
The following is a step by step list you need to follow prior
to applying for a parcel merger.
1. Prepare a detailed plot plan identifying the proposed
landscaping and pool for Planning Commission review and
approval.
2. After Planning Commission review and approval of the
landscaping and pool, you may apply for the parcel merger.
3. Complete.and submit (no fee) the enclosed parcel merger
application.
4. Start construction of the landscaping, pool and walls.
Upon completion, the parcel merger will be recorded by the
City.
You have one year in which to do the above, unless you seek an
extension. The required extension must be made 30 days before
the expiration date of August 8, 1990.
In addition, you may request modification of this Variance
request, provided the approval is in effect.

we most definately never gave him permission to place his
building material and junk on our lot. Further we believe it
takes a person with a whole lot of, nerve to use.someone elses
property to junk it up not only for the 'victim. property owner
but also for the community in general.
My wife and I are 100% behind your newly formed city and your'
efforts to make La Quinta a better place..to live. We have a
large stake in La Quinta and we hope eventually you will be
able to drive the sloppy people out of town, or..to clean up
their act, .and leave La Quinta to the property owners who have.
some pride of ownership. It is time for La Quinta toytake it'.s
rightfull position as one of the quality cove communities..

lot, found to be owned by you. This is causing an eyesore and is a .
nuisance.
It is the purpose of.this letter to advise you of the above, and inquire
if you are giving Mr. Robert Cleek of 53-120 Avenida Herrera; permission
to store lumber on your lot (which is to the rear of his house). If so,
please have him remove same or,'if not, please make arrangements to have
it removed yourself.' I have enclosed a list of, people who may be able
to do that type of work.
This request is for your benefit as well as that of the neighborhood,
and to better the living standards of La Quinta.
