This form is to be used by the designer and attached to the plans. listed below are all the acceptance tests for lighting systems. The
designer is required to check the boxes by all acceptance tests that apply and list all equipment that require an acceptance test. If all
. equipment ofa certain type requires a test, list the equipoment description and the number of. systems to be tested in parentheses. The
NJ number designates the Section in the Appendix of .the Nonresidential ACM Manual that describes the test. Also indicate the
person reasponsible for performing the tests (i.e. the installing contractor, design professional or an agent selected by the owner).
Since this form will be part of the plans, completion of this section will allow the responsible party to budget for the scope of work
appropriately.

a.
Lights controlled by occupancy sensors tum off within a maximum of 30 minutes
from start of an occupied condition per Standard Section 119(d).
b.
The occupant sensor does not trigger a false "on" from movement in an area
adjacent to the controlled space or from HVAC operation
C.
Signal sensitivity is adequate to achieve desired control
Step 2: Simulate on occupied condition
a.
Status indicator or annunciator operates correctly
b.
Lights controlled by occupancy sensors tum on when immediate upon an occupie
condition OR (this requirement is mutually exclusive with Step 2.c)
C.
Sensor indicates space is. "occupied" and lights turn on manually
Step 3: System returned to initial operating conditions
Manual Daylighting Controls — Step 1: Manual Switching Control
a.
At least 50% of lighting power in daylit areas is separately controlled from other
lights
b.
The amount of light delivered to the space is uniformly reduced
Step 2: System returned to initial operating conditions
Automatic Time Switch Controls -- Step 1: Manual Switching Control
a.
All lights can be turned on and off by their, respective area control switch
b.
Verify the switch only operates lighting in the ceiling—height partitioned area in
which the switch is located
Step 2: Simulate an unoccupied condition
a.
All non—exempt lighting turns off per Section 131(d)l
b.
IManual 'override switch allows only the lights in the selected ceiling height

MANDATORY MEASURES
Building Lighting Shut—Off
The building lighting shut—off system consists of an' automatic time switch, with a zone for each floor
or the building is separately metered and exempt from the shut—off requirement.
Override for Building Lighting shut—Off
The automatic building shut—off system is provided with a manual accessible override switch in sight
of the lights. The area of override is not to exceed 5,000 square feet.
Automatic Control Devices Certified
All automatic control devices specified are certified, all alternated equipment shall be certified and
installed as directed by the manufacturer.
Fluorescent Ballast and Luminaries Certified
All fluorescent fixtures subject to certification and specified for the projects are certified.
Individual Room/Area Controls
Each room and area in this building is equipped with a separate switch or. occupancy sensor device
for each area with floor—to—ceiling walls.
Uniform reduction for Individual Rooms
All rooms and areas greater than 100 square feet and more. than 0.8 watts per square foot of
lighting load shall be controlled with multi—level switching for uniform reduction of lighting within
the room.
Daylit Area Control
All rooms that are greater than 250 square feet and contain windows and skylights, that allow for
the effective use of daylight, in the area shall have 50% of the lighting power in each daylit area
controlled by a separate switch or
The effective use of daylight throughout cannot be accomplished because the windows are
continuously shaded by a building on the adjacent lot. Diagram of shading during. different times
of year is included on plans.
The above notes are only examples of wording. Each mandatory measure that requires a separate
note should be listed on the plans.
