Dear Mr. and Mrs. Perkel,
This correspondence shall serve as notification that the Hideaway Design Review Committee (DRC) reviewed the
final construction documents as part of the November 17, 2015 meeting. The project has been approved to start
construction, subject to the following comments being addressed prior to the start of framing at the lot:
1. Please refer to past comments from Gerry Tarsitano as applicable.
2. The landscape pots and roof tile samples were approved as submitted.
3. The guidelines indicate a requirement for a minimum of five — 48" box canopy trees to be utilized at each
lot. Please upsize your trees as necessary.
4. The construction details call for the materials "to be selected". Typically the call -outs match the color
board to ensure compliance by sub -contractors in the field. Please make certain all applicable samples,
including hardscape, are provided in the field for review during construction.
5. Due to the circular driveway taller plant material should be utilized. The plan submitted indicates plants
with a mature height of only 30" which is not sufficient to screen vehicles. Please make the appropriate
changes so that larger/taller plant species are installed. The goal is to provide softening of the hardscape
and appropriate screening of vehicles parked in the driveway.
6. Courtesy comment: The two primary trees selected for the front yard are both deciduous in the winter
months and the Orchid tree was removed from the Plant List in the revised guidelines (July 2015) for this
reason. The committee suggests the use of a Caesalpinia cacalaco if you are desirous of a flowering tree in
the front yard.

I understand it is the property owner's responsibility to submit copies of weight tickets or receipts to the District
Environmental Coordinator as these hauls occur. I hereby certify that completion, implementation and adherence of the
Debris Management Plan (DMP) for the above named project shall guarantee that at least 50% of the jobsite waste is
diverted from landfilling. The remaining material will be recycled or reused. I will divert, for recycling or re -use, remaining
materials generated from the first day of the project through the completion of the project in accordance with this plan, This
DMP Is issued in the name of the property owner(s) and shall remain their property throughout the construction and/or
demolition project. A contractor serving as agent of the owner may obtain a DMP for the owner. However, the DMP Is still
