Dear Plans Examiner,
Per the instruction of the HOA Design Review Committee for the the Madison
Club we were required to meet with Eric Puls, the Golf Course Superintendent, to
review our precise grading plan and landscape. The approval would be his ruling for
any proposed grading beyond our project's rear propety line on the golf course
property.
We met Eric Puls on the site to review the precise grading plan and landcape
plans to discuss our proposed contours beyond the rear propety line and how they
adjoined the existing contours. No grading was proposed on any other adjacent
propeties other than the golf course. Eric approved our plans and permitted us to
remove the existing Acacia as necessary in our proposed grading areas.
We agreed to work with the golf course to replant any areas beyond the rear
porperty line per Eric's instruction at the time of construction. Eric will meet with us
once the lot is graded to inform us of what plants and where he would like to replant
on the golf course property. The golf course will be providing the maintenance and
adjusting their irrigation for any planting that may be added on their property.
We have included a copy of the approval email from Eric Puls in this submittal.

This correspondence shall serve as notification from The Madison Club Design Review Committee (DRC) that your
construction document submittal was reviewed at the June 28, 2018 meeting. The project was a rimed to start
construction subject to the following comments being addressed during construction.
1. The response letter noted that the chimneys were reduced in height to 29% however, they scale at 29'6"
from approved pad.
2. Please submit all exterior sconces and other light fixtures for review and approval.
3. There are 55 down lights proposed on the lower rear patio. These lights must be very low intensity lights
due to the quantity proposed.
4. The request to replant and regrade the Natural Area is subject to review and approval by the Golf Club as
already discussed; however the proposed contours adjacent to Lot 15A should be designed to have a
smoother appearance (similar to the opposite side adjacent to 13A). The modification of grades beyond the
neighbor's property is typically discouraged as it may alter their preferred patio layout.

I met with Michael on this lot and gave them permission to remove the old acacia on golf course property, encroach
on golf property for grading purposes for the infinity edge pool. They will then reestablish the golf landscape back
with little ollies or roses, something approved by golf course maint.
I am hoping this suffices as letter of approval from golf course.

6. Attach supporting documentation for wall plan, monument sign, grease trap or special facility installations.
7 Complete and sign the attached water quality management plan (WQMP) exemption form, if applicable. PW

Energy Design Rating (EDR) is an alternate way to express the energy performance of a building using a scoring system where 100 represents the energy performance of the Residential
Energy Services (RESNET) reference home characterization of the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) with California modeling assumptions. A score of zero represents
the energy performance of a building that combines high levels of energy efficiency with renewable generation to"zero out" its TDV energy. Because EDR includes consideration of
components not regulated by Title 24, Part 6 (such as domestic appliances and consumer electronics), it is not used to show compliance with Part 6 but may instead be used by local
jurisdictions pursuing local ordinances under Title 24, Part 11 (CALGreen).
As a Standard Design building under the 2016 Building Energy Efficiency Standards is significantly more efficient than the baseline EDR building, the EDR of the Standard Design building
