These tests were completed on March 17,` 2014 and our office has received a.copy of the signed report with the.pull-test results (included as - an attachment to this letter). For the base plates that are connected to the beams the,,actual uplift that must be resisted is 1,040 pounds. Based upon my review of. the test results each base plate connection to the tent beam will require a minimum of four 40". by V stakes.. Test results for the configuration of two stakes failed at an average of 950 pounds therefore providing four stakes will,proyides a minimum .factor of sofety of I.S. . For the connection of the guys (ratcheted web straps) that are connected to the beam.at a 45 degree angle, the actual uplift that must. be resisted is 3;980 pounds: Based upon my review,of the test results each guy connection will require two stake bars that have 3- 40" x V stakes.
