Traffic Plan
(Dated, April 12, 2007)
The purpose of this plan is to outline the best scenario to accommodate the vehicular
traffic that will be coming to the Empire Polo Club to attend the two festivals. To create
the maximum number of vehicles using the parking lots at the best possible pace,
Goldenvoice, has secured lots to accommodate the vehicles anticipated to attend this
event at no cost to event attendees.
We anticipate approximately 85% of the traffic to come via the 10 Freeway eastbound.
This plan will define the off -ramps, streets, signs, and procedures that will be put in place
to move vehicular traffic at the optimum pace. We estimate the majority of the vehicular
traffic arriving between 8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m.
This scenario is based upon dividing up the vehicular traffic using Indio Blvd.
off -ramp from the 1-10 Freeway eastbound as follows:
Exit Indio Blvd. turn right on Jefferson and proceed southbound,turn left on Ave..50;
turn might on Madison, turn --left to Ave. 51 and/or
Exit Indio Blvd and proceed on Indio Blvd., turn right to Hoover, turn right to Monroe St. ,
and proceed southbound, turn right to Ave. 51 and/or
Jackson St. off -ramp from the 1-10 Freeway westbound as follows:
Exit Jackson St and proceed on Jackson southbound turn right on Ave 52, turn right
On Madison St., turn right on Ave 51.
The coachella.com and stagecoachfestival.com websites describe in detail the 1-10 Freeway
Off -ramps and street routes to get to Empire Polo Club. Additional phone operators,
as well as the Ticketmaster will also provide route directions.

Subject: Coachella - Universal Records
Hey Skip,
So I just got off the phone with Aaron Harrison, an attorney at Universal Records, and they must own all the
footage and they want 8/10ths of a cent ($.008) per stream per song for the archive only on all platforms. This is
the same deal they set with Lollapalooza last year. Since Lollapallooza set this precedent there is really no way
We can offer promo use only and make them happy. We could probably webcast the performances for gratis but
we would not be allowed to record any of it. If we record it, they would want the tapes to own. -
Aaron said he has been in conversations with AT&T and felt in order to expedite this deal it would be better to set
a deal straight with Goldenvoice. And because there are footage ownership issues, which AT&T does not have
any say over, it only makes sense to do the deal straight with Goldenvoice:
The streaming fees would probably not be much over the $500 per song we are already offering. 100,000
streams is $800.
Please let us know how you wish to proceed.
These are the Universal artists:
Brazilian Girls
Kaiser Chiefs
The Feeling
The Rapture
The. Roots
Amy Winehouse
Ghostface Killah
Mika
Rufus Wainwright
Stephen Marley Feat. Jr. Gong
Reminder - Beggars/XUMatador/4AD will only approve if we give commercial use. These are there artists:
Blonde Redhead
Peaches
Tapes n' Tapes
The New Pornographers
Gotan Project
