Description
The following will be performed by Becerra Brothers Roofing at the address noted above
in accordance with the following detailed specifications.
Surface Preparation: Tiled Area
Remove the old existing tile roof down to the existing underlayment and inspect it.
The existing underlayment will be cleaned off of all loose dirt and nails.
The plywood will be inspected and replaced at an additional charge.
**** $60 dollars per ply sheet that is replaced if needed ****
**** Any wood replacement and work will be an additional charge. ****
This will be determined once the existing roof is removed.
The debris will be properly disposed of and hauled away in our trailer.
A permit will be requested from the Building and Safety Department.
We will request an inspection will be requested and we will proceed once approved.
Tile Reset.
2 layers of 401b felt will be nailed down individually onto the existing underlayment.
When you use 2 layers of underlayment it helps extend the life of the roof and added protection.
New metal drip edge will be installed and nailed down around the edges of the roof/ valleys.
8 O'hagin ventilation vents will be nailed down, silicone will be applied at the nail hole.
New clay bird stops will be installed before the first course tiles along the metal drip edge.
The clay bird stops not only look nice but they help prevent critter intrusion under the tiles.
New flashings will be installed on the roof penetrations and will be painted to blend in.
All the flashings will be nailed down and sealed with silicone at the nail holes as needed.
The tiles that were set aside for re -use will be re -installed, cemented individually with mortar.
The tiles that are broken will be replaced with tiles to match the existing tiles as needed.
The work area will be cleaned and cleared of all roofing debris at the end of the day.
A final inspection will be requested from the Building and Safety Department.
