Redwood Media GroupAt Redwood Media Group, we’re passionate about helping artists, gallery owners and publishers to succeed. In today’s changing marketplace, it takes a combination of talent, drive, networking, and marketing to thrive. That’s where we come in. Bringing artists, industry professionals and collectors together is what we do best at our fine art fairs, including Art Santa Fe, Art San Diego, Artexpo New York, [SOLO], [FOTO SOLO], Spectrum Miami, and Red Dot Miami. At RMG, we pride ourselves on the relationship we have with our business partners and exhibitors. We strive to follow four key objectives: • Be a service-oriented company with helpful, caring employees who are experienced in exhibitor relations and customer service • Create an attendee experience that goes beyond traditional expectations • Build marketing plans that support the success of the event as well as the community with an emphasis on social media, content management, print and electronic media, community outreach and public relations • Build strong relationships with exhibitors by communicating regularly, listening objectively, defining clear initiatives, and measuring progress I look forward to presenting our long term plan for the La Quinta Art Fair during the interview process and adding La Quinta to the list above. G) EVENT DETAILS CONTINUED Proposal | La Quinta Art Fair www.redwoodmg.com I) AFFIDAVIT www.redwoodmg.com Proposal | La Quinta Art Fair Summary OUR CAPABILITIES Owning and operating the La Quinta Art Fair is a strategic fit. This is what we do. Full time, each and every day. Our team is ready to start immediately. Our database consists of over 28,000 artists and galleries (exhibitors) and over 110,000 active subscribers (attendees and collectors). Aside from hosting multiple high-end art shows throughout the year, RMG also owns Art Business News, a leading art industry publication for 40+ years with 35,000 readers including artists, galleries and industry leaders. We have the necessary operational and financial bandwidth to execute. As a local resident, Eric Smith, CEO of Redwood Media Group (RMG), will be personally managing the fair over the next 3 years to ensure a smooth transition. OUR VISION The Fair: Aft er careful consideration and interviews with past La Quinta Art Fair exhibiting artists, we suggest utilizing the City Center Park for 2020, maintaining the status quo in regards to booth locations, infrastructure, jury process, volunteer program, etc. Basically, keeping things the same while the artists and collectors are introduced to the new organizers. TRANSITION TO SILVERROCK EVENT GROUNDS FOR 2021 FAIR Introduce the artists (exhibitors) to SilverRock with a beer, wine and food reception on Friday, March 6th, 2020, immediately follow- ing the close of the fair. Shuttle buses will be provided to and from reception. The reception will include an introduction to Silver- Rock by the mayor, plus the vision of the new location by RMG. The move to SilverRock will add new visitors to the La Quinta Art Fair , including many Montage and Pendry hotel guests as well as new residents. Our vision is not to change what has already been proven to be a very successful event, so we will continue with the fair that is already in place and simply add a new component. La Quinta Contemporary — an upscale venue in a large pavilion with white walls, truss lighting, and amenities — with a similar look and feel as our Miami events. RMG owns walls, lights, trusses, etc., essentially all of the necessary infrastructure to create a con- temporary pavilion. La Quinta Contemporary will establish a new product that brings a new flair to the existing La Quinta Art Fair . The Community: One of the most important components of running local events is communication with community mem- bers including: volunteers, collectors, sponsors, charities, and city off icials. Our plan is to create a minimum of 3 events lead- ing up to the La Quinta Art Fair so we can get to know everyone involved. Here are a few examples of some past successful events we’ve organized: tours of collectors’ homes, meet and greets at local restaurants, Art Bites tours (shuttle bus tours of galleries and/or local artists’ studios) and educational lectures with local artists. OUR REQUESTS 1. We would request that the City of La Quinta provide the venue, including all highlighted parking lots as referenced in the RFP — along with security (if available). 2. We would like to make a donation to the La Quinta Arts Foundation of 10% of the year one profits in return for their sup- port, including access to past attendee and exhibitor lists. Thank you for considering Redwood Media Group. I look forward to seeing you all again in the interview process. Eric Smith President Our Events Proposal | La Quinta Art Fair www.redwoodmg.com
