Provide a proposed detailed schedule of work. The proposed schedule should address
issues such as water clarity, algae removal, odors, types of chemicals used, and lake
levels. Also include weekly/monthly strategies to improve the overall appearance/clarity
of the Civic Center Campus Lake.

Proposed weekly schedule of work:
DWI proposes two (2) service calls per week. On each visit DWI personnel will:
1) Inspect all pumps and aeration equipment and make adjustments as necessary.
2) Skim surface and remove trash, debris, etc.
3) Check water quality for clarity, aquatic weeds, algae, odors, etc. Treat accordingly with
aquatic herbicides/algaecides, enzymes, beneficial bacteria, clarifiers and dyes.
4) Once per month DWI technicians will turn off pumps; and power wash waterfalls and
creek beds.
5) Provide field management reports on each visit and report any abnormal conditions; and
make suggestions for improvements.

CERTIFICATION OF PROPOSER'S
EXPERI NQ AND QUALIFICATIONS
The undersigned Proposer certifies that he is, at the time of proposing, and shall be,
throughout the period of the Contract, licensed under the provisions of Chapter 9, Division
3, of the Business and Professions Code of the State of California, to do the type of work
contemplated in the Contract Documents. Proposer shall further certify that it is skilled
and regularly engaged in the general class and type of work called for in the Contract
Documents.
The Proposer represents that it is competent, knowledgeable, and has special skills on the
nature, extent, and inherent conditions of the work to be performed. Proposer further
acknowledges that there are certain peculiar and inherent conditions existent in the
maintenance of the particular facilities, which may create, during the lake maintenance
contract, unusual or peculiar unsafe conditions hazardous to persons and property.
Proposer expressly acknowledges that it is aware of such peculiar risks and that it has the
skill and experience to foresee and to adopt protective measures to adequately, and safely,
perform the work with respect to such hazards.
The Proposer shall list below three (3) contracts completed in the last seven (7) years of
similar size and complexity that indicate the Proposer's experience as a Lake Maintenance
Contractor. The projects must be similar in scope of work (i.e. commercial and/or
municipal). Please indicate on additional paper if a quality control program was
implemented, and managed, as part of the work efforts, and if written proof of the quality
control program can be provided to the City of La Quinta prior to the award of proposal for
this previous assignment.

Procedures: DWI has 5 Divisions within the Company: 1) Maintenance, 2) Repair,
3) Product Manufacturing, 4) Sediment Removal, and 5) Consulting.
1) Maintenance - includes general maintenance, clean-up, pest control, etc.
2) Repair - includes pump repair, aeration systems, shoreline repair, and many other
types of repairs in aquatic environments.
3) Product Manufacturing - DWI manufactures its branded product line, the "F Series
Aquatic Treatment Products" which are recognized nationally and sold through
national distribution channels and professional organizations.
4) Sediment Removal - DWI has specialized pumping equipment designed to pump
up to 320 cubic yards of sediment per day.
5) Consulting - DWI provides expert witness services, consulting, training programs.
Mr. Simmsgeiger also teaches courses and speaks at various professional seminars
across the country.
