EQUIPOTENTIAL BONDING
• Structural reinforcing steel in concrete shell,
equipment, electrical parts, and any metallic
components will be bonded to the existing
equipotential bonding grid with a solid copper
conductor not smallerthan 8 AWG with listed
pressure connectors, terminal bars, exothermic
welding, or other listed approved means.
• Perimeter surfaces. We will use equipotential
bonding conductor meeting all of the following
requirements: (1) 8 AWG bare solid copper bonding
conductor connected to the pool reinforcing steel.
(2) The bonding conductor will follow the contour
of the perimeter surface. (3) Bonding conductor will
be 18 to 24 in. from the inside walls of the pool. (4)
Bonding conductor will be secured within or under
the perimeter surface 4 to 6 in. below the subgrade.
SAFETY

each other, hydraullically balanced with anti-
entrapment/vortex main drain covers (approved by
ASTM/ASME) in compliance w/VGB SafetyAct.
