I am the engineer of record for ICC ESR 1398. This plan specifies the proper construction
of aluminum patio covers, carports and commercial covers from components fabricated by
Amerimax Exterior Home Products in accordance with the 2018 IBC. All structures built
within the scope of these plans and according to all specifications comply with the 2019
California Building Code.
It is acceptable for copies of these plans to be used to obtain building permits as long as the
building department has a comparison copy (physical or electronic). Comparison copies
may be viewed online (but not printed) at the ICC ES website, www.icc-es.org. I can also
supply an electronic copy.
