Dear Mr. & Mrs. Smith,
Your architectural Variance Request submittal is accepted conditional on being in accordance with the
Application Submittal Re uirements Architectural Guidelines Association CCU R's and Maintenance
and Indemnity A reement. This "Notice to Proceed" authorization is subject to and a part of the
Application `Review and Comment' letter dated October 30, 2019, `Review & Comment' letter #2 dated
November 14, 2019, `Review & Comment' letter #3 dated December 13, 2019 and memos dated
December 19, 2019 (all attached). It is understood that by starting the project, the Homeowner and their
Contractor of record commit to their compliance with the Architectural Committee's `Notice to Proceed'
letter. It is the responsibility of the homeowner to provide, advise and confirm to their contractor the
requirements of this acceptance. This should avoid possible misunderstanding at the project
completion. The homeowner and the contractor to schedule a pre -construction meeting with the
Landscape/Irrigation Manger, Bill Bobbitt, the Maintenance/Lighting Manager, Fernando Murillo and
Architectural Chair Person. Please contact the HOA office to set up the appointments The purpose is
to confirm the site pre -construction condition, establishing the responsibility for existing HOA property
as documented by photographs. At this meeting pool perimeter to be located and any modifications

and repairs to the existin side yard and street side for construction access and the new piping
installation to be confirmed. This meeting date commences the period of 45 calendar days for project
completion. The timely completion of this ro'ect in the 45 calendar days is essential.
It is recommended that the contractor does not schedule a re -construction mcetin with the HOA
until they are ready to start the project. The contractor has provided and a reed to the project
completion days.
The review and approval are based only on the aesthetics of your proposed plan and should not be taken
as certification by the HOA. The construction worthiness and integrity of the proposed change is the
responsibility of the homeowner and contractor. The HOA does not verify or certify the near property
line location. It is the responsibility of the homeowner and contractor to locate any underground utilities
and services and modify as needed. The `Notice to Proceed' letter requires a copy of the City of La
Quinta Permit to be provided prior to any demolition or construction activity. The contractor to provide
a copy of the engineering drawing for the HOA's application file.
