been checked and approved by Precision Engineering Design Corp. Checking was only
for conformance with the design concept of the project and compliance with the
information given in the contract documents. Contractor is responsible for the

A. Per new Soil Report.
Yes. The concrete compressive strength should be 2,500 psi base on the new soil report. At the time
of design there wasn't a soil report, therefore we call out 4,500 psi. Now that we have a soil report
there isn't any need for 4,500 psi and 2,500 psi is satisfactory. Please see attached to this letter the soil

I DECLARE THAT THE FOLLOWING STATEMENTS ARE TRUE TO THE BEST OF MY KNOWLEDGE AND BELIEF
l . I AM THE REGISTERED ENGINEER WHO HAS RESPONSIBLE CHARGE FOR THE
STRUCTURAL OBSERVATION.
2. I, OR ANOTHER QUALIFIED -CHARGE OBSERVER WHO I HAVE DESIGNATED
ABOVE AND IS UNDER MY RESPONSIBLE CHARGE, HAS PERFORMED THE
REQUIRED SITE VISITS AT EACH SIGNIFICANT CONSTRUCTION STAGE TO
VERIFY IF THE STRUCTURE IS IN GENERAL CONFORMANCE WITH THE
APPROVED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS.
3. ALL DEFICIENCIES, WHICH I DOCUMENTED, HAVE BEEN CORRECTED UNLESS
OTHERWISE INDICATED ABOVE.
4. ALL OBSERVED DEFICIENCIES SHALL BE CORRECTED AND APPROVED BY THE
OBSERVER PRIOR TO FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE STRUCTURAL SYSTEMS BY
THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT.
5. THIS REPORT IS PROVIDED TO THE OWNER AS A PART OF THE OWNERS
OVERALL CONSTRUCTION QUALITY CONTROL PROGRAM.
6. OPTION ONE HAS PROVIDED STRUCTURAL OBSERVATION IN ACCORDANCE
WITH THE SEAOC RECOMMENDED GUIDELINES FOR THE PRACTICE OF
STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING IN CALIFORNIA.
