No worries, but to help in my decision process I’d like to ask you a few question as to why you oppose the proposed
project. As I speak with people who are in support or opposition, I like to hear from them as to why? Which helps me
ask questions for staff and developers, should this project ever come before the city council.

Got it. Sorry if I was rude. Didn’t mean to be. Thanks for your response.

Hello Mr. Woodfin,
I did receive your email; as well as emails from others (both In support and opposition). This project has not come before
the city council, and I’m not sure when and/if it will come before the council.
I have been reading and keeping track of all emails coming in regarding “The Wave Resort.”

Do you not respond to constituents; those tax payers that support the City Council? It is shameful
that La Quinta Government is so detached from its citizens. Shameful behavior from an elected
official. I will remember this come the next election.

Dear Steve Sanchez, Council Member:
I strongly urge you and the City of La Quinta to deny zoning changes as proposed by the development of the Coral
Mountain site.
"The Wave Resort" by Merriwether Development Co. intends to install an 18 Million Gallon Surf Basin, 150 room Hotel,
land-based adventure sports, skateboard runs, trails for electric motorcycles as well as events planned four times a year
with 2,500 attendees.
The massive daily and event traffic increase, noise from surf basin music loudspeakers and the movement mechanics of
the wave machine will destroy the quiet enjoyment of those communities adjacent and close to this proposed
development. This is simply NOT an appropriate location for such a transient, thrill ride attraction, extreme sports
Adventure Playground.
Please join me and support my neighbors to stop this aspect and approve only what is currently zoned for the site: homes.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Duncan Woodfin
