2. Suncoast Post -Tension, PTD, Sheets PT1, PT1A, PT2, PT2A, PT3, PT3A,
PT313, and PTCA, dated June 23, 2010.
As requested, Earth Systems Southwest [ESSW], has re -reviewed the above -referenced plans
(Reference 2) were found to be in general compliance with the intent of the recommendations
presented in Reference 1 subject to the following comments and recommendations.
Since the entire site will receive post tension footings/slabs, and since the design is based on the
recommended 1.1-inches of differential settlement, it is our opinion that the minimum footing
depth of 12-inches is acceptable. Therefore, ESSW "approves" the plans from a geotechnical
standpoint. Furthermore, the proposed design will eliminate a different design between the east
and west sides of the site, resulting in a more seamless operation in the field during construction.
This review was performed specifically with respect to geotechnical factors discussed in
Reference 1. Factors related to civil or structural engineering, architecture, drafting or other
disciplines are beyond the scope of this review. No attempt was made to resolve every conflict
that may exist within the plans or between the plans (Reference 2) and the recommendations
contained in Reference 1.
