DEVELOPMENT IMPACT FEE STUDY
Development Impact Fees (DIF) are one-time charges imposed on development projects to
offset the cost for additional public facilities needed to serve new residents, employees and
customers brought to the area by the development. The City must update the DIF periodically
in order to comply with state law.
The 2019 Update of the City of La Oulnta Development Impact Fee Study is the sixth
update of the May 1999 DIF It is intended to satisfy the requirements of the Mitigation Fee
Act (Government Cade sections 66000 at seq.) which is commonly known as "AB1600" and
to support findings necessary to satisfy both statutory and constitutional standards for the
establishment and impositions of DIF

Works Department prior to the Public Hearing and/or may appear and be heard in support of,
or.,opposition to, the proposed action at the time of the Public Hearing. If you chatlenge the

you or someone else raised either at the Public Hearing or In written correspondence delivered
to the Public Works Department at, or pricr.to the Public Hearing.
