The lateral deflection at this level will be of cor,siderably less magnitude than that of the more flexible wood structure ah{ ie the Spancrete level. The portion of the building above the Spancrete, consisting primarily of w3,)d contruction with steel moment frames, was designed to be suported on this much stiffer base.
