There is an established precedent for the concept you have submitted. Both the O'Connors and the Vordales have extending trellises on the front of their homes. While both used different techniques in their extensions, it appears .that the Vordale's extension is more like you proposed. ; The Board of Directors, therefore, approves the extension submitted per ; your revised plans. We would, however, like.to comment on your selection of the small pane French doors. ; The Board considers French doors in Spanish architecture somewhat of a ; fad. Nevertheless, there are two homes in our tract that have installed ; French doors, and although we are not happy with the look, we feel it : would be unfair if we denied your proposal. Both the Padillas and the Wahlers have installed French doors with single panes which we would strongly recommend that you use. ; Our choice, of course, would be that you use sliding glass doors as preferenced throughout our tract. For a new look and really great effect you might consider black anodized sliders similar.to those used by the O'Connors and Vordales. In conclusion: 1. Precedent requires the Board to approve your plan. 2. The Board strongly recommends use of black anodized sliders. February 24, 1991 Page 2 of 2 3.
