AN ORDINANCE OF THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE
AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE REDEVELOPMENT OF A PORTION
OF THE UNINCORPORATED AREA CONTINGUOUS TO THE CITY OF
LA QUINTA BY THE LA QUINTA REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY
PURSUANT TO SECTION 33213 OF THE CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE

The Board of Supervisors of the County of Riverside, State of

California, do ordain as follows:

Section.-L The Board of Supervisors has been requested by the City
13
of La Quinta to designate and authorize the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency
14
to undertake the redevelopment of that certain real property located within
15
the territorial limits of the County of Riverside, continguous to the City
16
of La Quinta, more particularly described in Exhibit A, which is attached
17
hereto. The Board of Supervisors hereby authorizes the redevelopment of
18
such real property located in the County of Riverside by the City of La Quinta
19
and the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency. The City of La Quinta and the La
20
Quinta Redevelopment Agency are hereby designated by the Board of Supervisors
21
to undertake such redevelopment.

Section 2. Prior to deciding whether to authorize the redevelopment
by the City of La Quinta and the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency of that certain
23
real property located within the territorial limits of t he County, more
24

particularly described in Exhibit A, attached hereto, and designate the

City.of La Quinta and the La Quinta Redevelopment Atiency to undertake such

' agency, has reviewed and considered the contents of the Environmental
Lmpact Report prepared by the La Quinta Redevelopment Agency.
Section 3. The City of La Quinta and the La Quinta Redevelopment
Agency shall have only those rights and privileges with respect to the
unincorporated area included within the project area described in Exhibit A,
attached hereto, that are necessary for purposes of implementing and
completing the Redevelopment Plan. The County of Riverside shall retain all
rights, powers, and privileges with respect to land use controls, development
approvals, and authorizations affecting the unincorporated real property
within the project area as long as said property remains unincorporated
territory within the County of Riverside.
Section 4. The Redevelopment Plan is hereby approved and is
hereby designated as the official Redevelopment Plan for the project area.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall take effect 30 days after the
date of adoption.
