on July 13, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. in the La Quinta City Hall Council Chamber, 78495 Calla Tampico, La Quinta,
California; regarding a revision to La Quinta's Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) threshold policy, which was
adopted June 2020, pursuant to Senate Bill 743, codified in Public Resources Code Section 21099, which
required changes to the guidelines implementing the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the
analysis of transportation impacts to promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, the development
of multimodal transportation networks, and a diversity of land uses. The Governor's Office of Planning and
Research and the California Natural Resources Agency has determined that VMT is the most appropriate
metric to evaluate a project's transportation impacts.
'SPECIAL NOTICE: Teleconferencing and Telephonic Accessibility In Effect — Any person may participate
in this public hearing and provide verbal comments via teleconference, pursuant to Executive Orders
N-25-20, N-29-20, N-33-20, N-35-20, N-60-20, and N-08-21 executed by the Governor of California in
response to the state of emergency relating to novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and enabling
teleconferencing accommodations by suspending or waiving specified provisions of the Ralph M. Brown
Act (Government Code § 54950 et seq.). Requests to participate via teleconference must be submitted to the
Design and Development Department atTFloras_* intaCA.nov by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 12, 2021.
