I sincerely don't understand why the city would allow rezoning from low/mid density residential to a commercial high density development. This whole area welcomes our golf courses and amenities that go with them. Putting a high density development at the very end of a residential street with only limited ways in and out creates an unacceptable burden on the local residents. California has been in extreme drought conditions for decades. Just look at what has happened with the central valley water tables caused by commercial farming corporations. We have been asked for years to be conscious of water usage and to think conservation of our resources. What will happen to this area if we drain our underground water resources. The thought of allowing a wave park for the exclusive use of hotel guests, Air B&B's, condos nightly rentals to use a public resource in such a drought stricken time seems irresponsible and reckless. This type of development would be better suited in a location nearer major roads and freeways. However, even in another location the water issue is still a problem. I have been told by some that the city council is just going thru the motions of hearing out our objections. I truly hope that this is not the case as the ramifications of this development could be detrimental to the community as a whole. Denise Guajardo 57401 Via Vista La Quinta, CA 92253
