I am 42 years old. My fiancé and I just bought our first house here and part of the reason we chose La Quinta was the fact that there were so many new things in the works for the city, including the Coral Mountain Resort. He grew up in Hawaii, and I grew up in the midwest. We met in Venice Beach and the prospect of the resort and wave pool gave the city a definite edge over the rest of the Coachella Valley. We both enjoy outdoor sports - surfing, rock climbing, yoga, hiking. Yes, we golf, but we love the idea of there being other opDons for people like us who've moved here looking for a be\er quality of life at a more relaxed pace. Nothing says a love of the outdoors and a relaxed pace of life more to me than a space to enjoy everything the ocean and beach have to offer with Coral Mountain as the backdrop to it all. As a full Dme resident, I would be very disappointed if the development was not allowed to go through. I’ve looked at the research and planning that has been done on the project and I don’t see how it will truly negaDvely impact the area. I live at 54th and Madison so I am not that far away. In fact, it would be amazing to be able to bike on over there and enjoy the faciliDes. I hope that the city takes into account its younger residents who will be shaping the future of the city. My parents live here as well, and I know that they love the changes that are coming. Aaer this crazy year we’ve all had, I don’t know why we’d want to sDfle opportunity and access to more opDons for all of the residents. I’m happy to talk more or answer any quesDons you may have - Best, Cory MarDn 213-400-3291 81630 Haflinger Way La Quinta, CA 92253 Cory Martin - Author/Ghostwriter www.corymartinwrites.com
