INSTALLERS: CLICK LEFT HAND APPROVED LINK AT W W W.ETITLE24.COM FOR FIELD COMPLIANCE FORMS FOR CONSTRUCTION OAT S ti<< 8Y_ Job Number: EZ1786 Date: 4/30/2011 The EnergyPro computer program has been used to perform the calculations summarized in this compliance report. This program has approval and is authorized by the California Energy Commission for use with both the Residential and Nonresidential 2008 Building Energy Efficiency Standards. This program developed by EnergySoft, LLC — www.energysoft.com. EnergyPro 5.1 by EnergySoft User Number.' 2729 RunCode: 2011-0430718:30:53 ID: EZ1786 USES AND LIMITATIONS What This Report Is Upon'validation (as instructed below), this Report certifies compliance of the subject building(s) with the California's "Energy Efficiency Standards for Residential and Nonresidential Buildings" as regulated by the California Energy Commission. Compliance is contingent upon building according to the designer -coordinated plans and other permit-' documents. Note that all project data has been supplied by client. EasyTitle24.com is responsible for computer entry of the supplied data, and for computer simulation only. Please keep a copy of this important Report for your records. Form CF -111 in this Report contains minimum requirements for envelope and duct insulation, space conditioning equipment and water heater efficiencies (WH tank size is a maximum, and WH input rating is not directly regulated). Refer to the CEC Residential Manual, Sec. 5.1.4, for a description of any hot water Distribution Type including "Standard." The form also summaries the types and maximum amounts of glazing for each elevation, and gives fenestration ratings maximums. Read the "Special Features inspec- tion Checklist," "HERS Required Verification" and "Remarks" sections for other important requirements/notifications. Form'MF-IR in this Report is a checklist of mandatory energy conservation features. Not all of these measures will pertain to your project, and some may be superseded by more stringent measures required by Form CF -1R. Of particular significance are the sections on "Space Conditioning, Water Heating and Plumbing System Measures," and "Residential Lighting Measures." Whole house continuous or timer -controlled ventilation is required in new dwellings, and in projects with additions larger than 1,000 square feet. It is the designer's responsibility to ensure that the construction documents comply with applicable mandatory features. This may entail lighting and/or mechanical design work beyond the scope of recent practice. HVAC -Sizing Summary (if included) gives ASHRAE heating and cooling loads for the building. The inside design temperatures used are the ones stipulated in Section 150(h)2 of the Energy Efficiency Standards, and may be somewhat extreme (thus resulting in decreased loads). These loads are only one of many factors to consider in the selection of HVAC equipment. Air flow requirements are more important in most cases. Any system outputs and/or airflow ratesshown are merely entered to allow the energy. simulation program (EnergyPro) to function properly (these are not regulated, except that you must install a system that meets or exceeds the calculated heating load). What This Report Is Not This Report is not a design document. It merely describes minimum and maximum specifications for certain components and systems which may effect material and product selection. It is the building designer's responsibility to coordinate the information contained in this Report with the project's construction documents. Any products named in this Report are only exemplary in nature (equivalent or better products by different manufacturers almost certainly exist). Knowledge of local energy or "green" ordinances, product specifications, construction details, design integration, option- al upgrades, and proper instal lation/inspection procedures are not responsibilities assumed by the producer of this Report. This Report does not describe criteria for an "energy efficient" design. It merely documents that the design --as analyzed- -will meet California's code minimum energy efficiency requirements. If you are interested in achieving higher levels of energy efficiency we recommend you start by contacting your utility's residential construction programs office. Report Validation In order for this Report to become valid, it must be processed and coordinated with the construction documents as directed in the "Energy Efficiency Standards." The following actions are required: —The designer(s) must review and coordinate this report with all of the project's construction documents. This includes integrating all requirements on Form CF -1R, and applicable requirements from Form MF -I R. -The chief designer or the owner (or owner's representative --as may be allowed by the local building department) must sign the "Statement of Compliance" on Part 3 of Form CF -1R. Forms MF -IR and signed CF -IR must be reproduced on the plan sheets (the intention is that they be communicated to all bidders, contractors, and subcontractors).
