Dear Michael Calderon, thank you for your interest in my work, and for making me aware of the Artist
Roster for public art in La Quinta, Ca. I have been working in the field of metal sculpture for over 25
years, and while my primary focus has been creating artworks for private collections, I have also enjoyed
having my work commissioned for the public realm. I have a long standing relationship with the City of
La Quinta, via many years of participating in the Art festivals there. I am very excited about the
opportunity to have my work considered for installation in your city. The architecture there, as well as
the surrounding natural landscapes lend themselves well to my approach to sculpture. My work is
strongly inspired by nature and its’ simple forms, and I believe that my style of work and my imagination
could create beautiful, lasting artworks that pay homage to the city and the people of La Quinta.
I look forward to the possibility of my inclusion to this roster, and I greatly appreciate your efforts to
that end!
