The Architectural committee has received an "Application for Architectural Change" and related
required documentation, from Bob & Rosanne Galak, to increase the height of the block wall that
separates Property A from Property B one course of block for a length of approximately 75'.
Paragraph 4 of Exhibit "A" of the FIRST SUPPLEMENT TO DECLARATION OF COVENANTS, CONDITIONS
AND RESTRICTIONS FOR PAINTED COVE AT LA QUINTA HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION states "No wall
shall exceed six (6) feet in height, measured from the site grade", therefore the Architectural Committee
for Painted Cove approves the height increase subject to the following conditions:
1. Applicant shall deliver a copy of the building permit from the City of La Quinta to the
Architectural Committee prior to start of construction.
Painted Cove CC&R's allow "lot line" walls to be a maximum height of 6'. The wall height shall
not exceed 6' at any point from the site grade of Property B.
Additionally, it should be noted:
3. The McLennan's (Property B) are opposed to the height increase.
4. The applicant has agreed, at their cost, to repair and repaint the improvements as it affects
Property B to the reasonable satisfaction of the parties.
Items "3" & "4" are between the parties and not a condition of approval or the responsibility of the
Painted Cove Homeowner's Association or the Architectural Committee.
