approved Final Landscape Plan 2021-0008 for landscaping for front yard typicals for
the Cantera at Coral Mountain project, subject to the following conditions of
approval:
1) The plans are approved, subject to the approved and stamped plans
attached and on file.
2) Applicant shall adhere to the Conditions of Approval from the Riverside
County Fire Department, attached to this letter
3) Attached is a Certificate of Completion which shall be completed and
submitted to the Design and Development department prior to final

Per City of La Quinta Municipal Code Section 8.13.030(e)(3), prior to final planning inspection the landscape architect shall provide
the planning department a copy of the official certificate of completion

Landscape and irrigation maintenance schedule;
Soil analysis report, if not submitted with Landscape Documentation Package, and documentation verifying implementation of the
soil report recommendations

The plans you submitted for the above referenced project have been reviewed by Riverside County Fire
Department - Office of the Fire Marshal personnel and are approved with the following conditions.
[1] Fire Protection Equipment (Fire Hydrants, Fire Department Connections, Post Indicator Valves and
Backflow Prevention Devices) shall be provided clear access and shall not be visibly obscured.
[2] Fire Protection Equipment shall be provided with a minimum 3-feet of clearance around the
circumference of the device from any obstructions, including vegetation of any size besides
maintained turf grass or treadable groundcover. Consideration for mature plant development and
spacing shall be considered when planting in close proximity to the minimum clearance.
a. Observed compliance required in front of Lots 21, 32 & 27.
[3] The fire code official shall perform a final inspection of all landscaping and confirm compliance
with these conditions. Any landscaping that is in conflict shall be removed or relocated to the
satisfaction of the fire code official.
The Fire Department approved plans and conditions letter must be at the job site.
Applicant/installer shall be responsible to contact the Fire Department to schedule inspections. Requests for
inspections are to be made at least 48 hours in advance and may be arranged by calling (760)777-7131.
All questions regarding the meaning of these conditions should be referred to the Office of the Fire Marshal
staff at (760)777-7074.
