The following shall be considered as incorporated into the project plans and specifications for the
above referenced project. Portions of plans and specifications not specifically mentioned in this
Addendum remain in force.
■ PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
Section 1210:
Section 1210 is re laced• the followinu is a summary of the changes:
• Bid Item 13 Item Description is clarified to include stamped concrete
• Bid Item 41 will remain at lump sum, however this item of work now includes an
additional 21 sharrow pavement markings with green paint at and around the
proposed roundabout.
• Bid Item 61 is added to include Temporary Lighting
• Bid Item 62 is added to include 6" of Concrete Pavement over 6" of Class II
Aggregate Base
Section 4000:
Sheet 4000-5, Section 6: Clearing and Grubbing, add the following to the payment
and measurement clause for Clearing and Grubbing (adjacent non irrigated planter
areas
The removal of miscellaneous items not specifically paid for under other items of work and
as required to construct the project shall be considered included in this item of work;
including but not limited to the removal of guard rail barrier, block column, chain link
fencing.
Sheet 4000-22, Section 17: Lighting Systems. add the following paragraphs after
paragraph 3•
The furnishing, installing, and maintaining temporary lighting shall conform to the provisions
in Section 87-20 Temporary Electrical Systems of the State Standard Specifications and State
Standard Plans, where applicable and these Special Provisions.
All temporary temporary lighting shall be adequate to assure safety for both the Contractor and Public.
Lighting shall be maintained during duration of the stated working days of the contract.
Lighting shall at a minimum be maintained to match the current illumination of the travel
lanes. If travel lanes are shifted the lighting must continue to provide the same level of
lighting. The furnishment of all temporary lighting, poles, trailers, wiring, design shall be the
responsibility of the Contractor to provide a complete and operational system.
Temporary Lighting, where required, may include the use of temporary wood poles, trailers,
generators, temporary wiring either above ground or underground, and other means. This
item of work includes the re -use and relocation of the temporary lighting as needed during
all stages of construction. Contractor may choose to reuse the existing lighting during the
course of work as feasible before salvaging to the City Yard.
Temporary Lighting shall be paid for on a lump sum (LS) basis and shall include full
compensation in furnishing all labor, materials, tools and equipment as specified in the State
Standard Specifications and Special Provisions, including loading, hauling, removal and legal
disposal, equipment, and design, per the Special Provisions. No further compensation will be
allowed therefore.

The following changes are made to the plans:
• Addition of truncated domes to the median cut throughs on pages 4 and 6.
• Revision of the pavement removal and replacement limits to station 29+82 and
40+76 on the north bound leg; and station 30+73 on the southbound leg.
• Revision of note on the planting plans to replace "exposed aggregate paving" with
"stamped concrete". The detail will remain per the street improvement plans.
• Addition of 21 sharrow markings to the roundabout.
The Contractor is hereby notified; Addendum No. 1 must be acknowledged and initialed
as stipulated under the instructions to Bidders and submitted as part of the Bid. Failure
to do so shall result in the City designating said bid as "Non -Responsive."

this Bid, to execute a Contract, with necessary bonds, to furnish and install any and
all labor, materials, transportation and services for 2017-09, Jefferson Street at
Avenue 53 Roundabout — Street Improvement Project, in accordance with the
