I did not want to embarrass myself. I am sure it was clear to everyone else. “Responses reviewed and approved by the City” means the planning department
correct? And not the Planning Commission. The City Council doesn’t look at it before the document is finalized, And “if any …requires supplemental analysis, the
City” also means the Planning Department and not the Planning Commission, correct?

The City has reviewed all of the comment le=ers. The environmental consultant, under contract to the developer, is currently preparing the responses. All responses will
be reviewed and approved by the City before the document is finalized. If any comment requires supplemental analysis, the City will determine that and direct the

I am so sorry. In reviewing your excellent comments, I realized that our very first question was worded incorrectly. What it said was: We understand that
the DEIR is currently being reviewed by the City of La Quinta Consulting Planner.
What we should have said is: We understand that the responses to the DEIR are currently being reviewed by the City of La Quinta Consulting
Planner.
So that is the only thing where we need clarification. Who is doing the initial review of all the comments received for the DEIR? Is it you in
conjunction with the developer who decides which comments must have a supplemental analysis for the final EIR?
