I don’t know if you raised any of theses concerns with your city council but I would be interested to hear how they addressed the concerns you raise for this project proposed in La Quinta. Having been born and raised in the Coachella Valley I can assure you that I take any development proposed very seriously and how they affect and impact our community. Thanks again for sharing your concerns. The developer who is promoting this project seems tone-deaf to the majority of Coachella Valley residents who are understandably concerned about saving water at the urging of our state and local government. While I am not a resident of LaQuinta, I have an interest in the outcome of your decision regarding this potential project as the water consumed impacts all of us in the Coachella Valley. I urge you to reject this proposal completely.  Furthermore, I believe that if you were to informally or randomly poll the residents of LaQuinta that most enjoy the current age-demographic makeup of LaQuinta and would like it to remain as is. That, like myself, this is what attracted them to the area. And, contrary to the opinion or assertions by John Gamlin, of Coral Mountain Wave Development, LaQuinta residents may actually not prefer an increased presence of "younger people, millennials Firefox https://outlook.office.com/mail/AAMkAGJiMWY1OTY1LTBhY2EtN... 1 of 2 4/2/22, 11:21 AM and Generation Z". That such a demographic shift could potentially bring about the unwanted social-cultural- environmental influences often associated with similar age groups as they may exist in other communities such as Palm Springs or Los Angeles.   Respectfully submitted Jerry Ciffone Palm Desert, CA Firefox https://outlook.office.com/mail/AAMkAGJiMWY1OTY1LTBhY2EtN... 2 of 2 4/2/22, 11:21 AM
