Please use proper judgement and cau;on when opening a=achments, clicking links or responding to requests for informa;on. ** To the City Council,  I am writing to express my opposition to the wave park proposed for Coral Mountain.  Aside from the fact that I live nearby, I would still oppose this project as the State is in a drought where we have recently agreed to take less water from the Colorado River.  While residents in LA County are told they cannot water more than once a week and are not allowed to refill their swimming pools, it would be extremely irresponsible to take 18 million gallons of water to fill this monstrosity with a burnoff rate of 250 thousand gallons per day. I don't believe this serves the best interests of the residents of La Quinta who voted you in to represent their interests because I doubt there are more than a handful of your constituents who could afford $10,000 for what they call "The Wave Experience. " As you all well know,  this will be a very exclusive,  not inclusive project. Kelly Slater himself has said people who went to his Lemoore facility are bored with the same wave.  So what happens when the uber wealthy become bored here, too? I believe the City Council is being very short-sighted in considering this project for our wonderful city.
