NOTE: The items listed below are from the previous correction list. These
remaining items have not been adequately addressed. The numbers of th e items
are from the previous check list and may not necessarily be in sequence.The
notes in bold font are current.

THIS IS A STRUCTURAL-ONLY PLAN CHECK
1.Please make all corrections and submit two new complete sets of prints, to:
The jurisdiction's building department.
2.Plans deviating from conventional wood frame construction shall have the
structural portions signed and sealed by the California state licensed engineer or
architect responsible for their preparation, along with structural calc ulations.
(California Business and Professions Code).Current structural is sealed and
signed. To be re-verified on the final set.
5.Provide detailing on the plans to show veneer attachment to the stud walls, in
accordance with the provisions of Section R703.7.Response indicated
adhered veneer less than 15 psf and referenced the architectural plans for
type and ICC approval. The architectural plans do not indicate an ICC
approval or a maximum of 15 psf. Please provide an ICC approval or show
that the plaster is adequate to support the stones with no additional
reinforcing or support at the foundation. Please note that there are some
larger stones shown, especially at the top.See detail 11/A6.3 and
elevations on sheet A2.2.
9.Provide truss details and truss calculations for this project. Specify truss
identification numbers on the plans.The City of La Quinta does not allow
deferred submittals.Please compare trusses to framing plan on sheet S-2. I
found the following inconsistencies:
a)Some of the trusses are not designed for the drag load per keynotes
4 or 5 on sheet S-2. For example: QGT, NA-GT, truss over powder
room, etc.
b)The lengths of G and F trusses do not match S -2.
11.Please provide evidence that the engineer-of-record (or architect) has reviewed
the truss calculation package prepared by others (i.e., a “review” stamp on the
truss calculations or a letter). CBC Section 107.3.4.1.Please re-review trusses
for correct loading and configuration (see #9 above).Also, ensure drag
loads are applied as intended. It appears that for some of the trusses, the
200 plf is added only for the length of the shear wall.Please be sure the
“reviewed” box is checked on the review stamp once this is done.
