TO: All Prospective Bidders and Plan Holders

SUBJECT: Project No. 2016-03F2 & 2016-03F3 La Quinta Landscape Renovation
Improvement Desert Pride, Marbella, and Sierra Del Rey
The following shall be considered as incorporated into the project plans and specifications
for the above referenced project. Portions of plans and specifications not specifically
mentioned in this Addendum remain in force.
PROJECT SPECIFICATIONS
Section 1210:
Section 1210 is replaced; the following is a summary of the changes:
• Bid Items 21 and 22 quantities are updated
Section 1500:
Sheet 1500-2, Section 3.0, Liquidated Damages, replace first sentence of
paragraph 1:
As Reads
It is agreed by the parties to the Contract that time is of the essence; and that in the
case all work is not completed before or upon the expiration of the time limit set forth
within Section 1300 Contract; Subsection 4, damage will be sustained by the City
and it is, therefore, agreed that the Contractor will pay to the City an amount of
$1,500 per work day.
Is Amended to Read

The following changes are made to the plans:

o Sheet 2: Additional existing keystone block removal.
o Sheet 5: Additional proposed keystone block and legend update.
o Sheets 6 and 7: Legend update.
o Sheet 8: Additional irrigation for additional trees.
o Sheet 17: Additional trees.
• 2016-03F3 Marbella, and Sierra Del Rey Set:
o Sheets 6-9: Legend update.
The Contractor is hereby notified; Addendum No. 1 must be acknowledged and
initialed as stipulated under the instructions to Bidders and submitted as part of
the Bid. Failure to do so shall result in the City designating said bid as "Non-
Responsive."

Pursuant to the Invitation to Bid, and in accordance with the provisions therein
stated, the undersigned hereby proposes and agrees that on award by the City under
this Bid, to execute a Contract, with necessary bonds, to furnish and install any and
all labor, materials, transportation and services for Project No. 2016-03F2 &
2016-03F3, La Quinta Landscape Renovation Improvement – Desert Pride,
Marbella, and Sierra Del Rey, in accordance with the plans and specifications
therefore adopted and on file with the City within the time hereinafter set forth and
at the prices named in this Bid. It is understood that the basis of award shall be the
lowest total price of the Base Bid Areas.
Unit prices in each and every case represent the true unit price used in preparing the
bid schedule totals (Bid Form). Unit prices listed herein include material, installation
and appurtenant work as is necessary to have the item complete and in place
meeting the full intent of the plans and specifications. We acknowledge that
unbalanced unit prices shall be sufficient cause for the rejection of our bid.
