JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF INDIO
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Indio is seeking a qualified contractor to provide the City with
janitorial services for various facilities owned and operated by the City. The selected firm will be expected to be
timely, consistent, and provide a cost effective service to ensure clean and safe office facilities for employees and
customers doing business with the City.
MANDATORY JOB WALK MEETING: Each prospective bidder is responsible for fully acquainting himself
with the conditions of the work sites, as well as those conditions relating to the work in order to fully understand
the facilities, difficulties and restrictions which may impact the total and adequate completion of the work. To this
end, one (1) mandatory job walk meeting will be held on August 17 , 2022 @ 10:00 AM at the Indio City Hall,
City Council Chambers, 150 Civic Center Mall, Indio and will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
QUESTIONS: All questions regarding this RFP shall be submitted in writing to: Jose Vasquez, Parks &
Landscape Manager, via email at: jvasquez@indio.org. The date and time when questions must be submitted are
shown in “Section V – Schedule” of this RFP. Questions with their answers will be posted on the City’s website
by the date and time set forth in this RFP.

SUBMITTAL PROCEDURES: Submittals shall comply with all conditions, requirements and specifications
contained herein, with any departure constituting sufficient cause for rejection of the proposal at the City’s sole
discretion. Any and all costs incurred in the preparation and presentation of this submittal shall be borne solely
by the respondent. All submittals received shall become the property of the City of Indio and will not be returned.
The submittal shall contain the name of this RFP.
Faxed or emailed submittals will not be accepted. Respondents shall provide two (2) copies of their submittal
by the submittal deadline. Submittals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes marked on the outside “Sealed
Bid for Janitorial Services for the City of Indio”. All proposal submittals shall be delivered no later than the
