Pursuant to the Invitation to Bid, and in accordance with the provisions therein
stated, the undersigned hereby proposes and agrees that on award by the City under
this Bid, to execute a Contract, with necessary bonds, to furnish and install any and
all labor, materials, transportation and services for Project No. 2016-03F2 &
2016-03F3, La Quinta Landscape Renovation Improvement — Desert Pride,
Marbella, and Sierra Del Rey, in accordance with the plans and specifications

5.1 Sand Filter Maintenance
Sand filter maintenance shall be performed as follows:

1. Pump all water from access/sand filter vaults and legally dispose. Clean
water may be pumped to a different location within retention basin. All
other water/combination water debris must be removed from site.
2. Remove and legally dispose of all debris within the access/sand filter
vaults. Re-establish 36" clear space area per La Quinta Retired Standard
Plan 370.
3. Remove 18" of existing fine sand and legally dispose. Contractor may
use a vacuum truck as needed.
4. Rough rake exposed remaining sand to loosen surface.
5. Place new fine filter sand, depth 18". Sand shall be 100% passing a
No.45 sieve (.35mm) with uniformity coefficient between 2 and 3.
Record drawings of existing systems are provided for information only.
Contractor shall inspect facility prior to starting work.
There are a total of eight (8) access/sand filter vaults part of the scope. The
vaults can be accessed through existing removable grates at the surface of the
retention basin.
Sand Filter Maintenance shall be paid for at a lump -sum (LS) contract
price and no additional compensation will be allowed. Payment shall include
full compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, disposal,
and doing all work involved as outlined in the bid documents and in furnishing
and placing new fine filter sand and no additional compensation will be allowed
therefore.
Sheet 4000-7, Section 11.0, Miscellaneous Metal Items Add the following
after second paragraph:
Metal fencing shall be constructed to the dimensions, color, and shapes shown on the
plans.
Metal fencing shall be painted conforming to the provisions in Section 59, "Structural
Steel Coatings", of the State Specifications. Color shall be as shown on the plans to
be approved by the City prior to the application.

SECTION 1270
COMPLIANCE WITH IRAN CONTRACTING ACT OF 201❑
Pursuant to the Iran Contracting Act of 2010 (Pub. Contract Code, § 2200 et seq.),
(a) Contractor shall be ineligible to bid on or submit a proposal for any contract for
One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) or more if Contractor engages in investment
activities in Iran as defined in Public Contract Code Section 2202.5, and/or if
Contractor is identified on the list of persons engaging in investment activities
in Iran prepared by the State of California pursuant to Public Contract Code
Section 2203 subdivision (b).
(b) For bids of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) or more, Contractor must certify

RUSSIAN AGGRESSION AGAINST UKRAINE
(a) Contractor shall comply with California Governor Executive Order N-6-22
regarding sanctions in response to Russian aggression in the Country of Ukraine,
and any implementing guidelines and/or economic sanctions imposed by the
United States government in response to Russian actions in Ukraine, as well as
any sanctions imposed under California law (collectively "economic
sanctions"). Contractor shall comply with all such economic sanctions. By
submitting a bid to the City, Contractor agrees to take any and all actions to
support the Ukrainian government and people as required by law, including by
refraining from new investments in, and financial transactions with, Russian
institutions or companies that are headquartered or have their principal place of
business in Russia (Russian entities), not transferring technology to Russia or
Russian entities, and directly providing support to the government and people
of Ukraine.
(b) If bidding on a contract for Five Million Dollars ($5,000,000) or more, Contractor
shall submit a written report to the City on Contractor's compliance with the
economic sanctions, and the steps Contractor has taken in response to Russia's
actions in Ukraine, including, but not limited to, desisting from making new
