Notice of Public Nuisance 1211201878-495 CALLE TAMPICO LA QUINTA, CALIFORNIA 92253 CODE COMPLIANCE DIVISION (760) 777-7050 FAX (760) 777-7155 N O TICE O F P U BLIC N U IS A N C E JAMES SCOTT & DANIELLE D MORROW 31 VIA CONOCIDA SAN CLEMENTE, CA 92673 RE: Pre-Fabricated Type Building APN : 767-580-014 Case No: 18-1934 Date: December 11, 2018 To JAMES SCOTT & DANIELLE D MORROW: A recent inspection by a representative of the City of La Quinta Code Compliance Staff was conducted on December 8, 2018 at the above referenced property address and revealed conditions that constitute a public nuisance. You are required to correct these violations within Thirty (30) DAYS, or be subject to City abatement, under LQMC 11.72.050 CODE SECTION VIOLATION/CORRECTIVE ACTION COMPLIANCE DATE CBC 105.1 - PERMITS REQUIRED VIOLATION: Any owner or authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish, or change the occupancy of a building or structure, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be done, shall first make application to the building official and obtain the required permit. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Contact the Design & Development Department and submit the required plans/permits. 1. Submit plans as a site built building that will be like any other structure built in the City. (or) 2. Obtain the proper permits from the State certifying the modular structure and then obtain the proper permit from the City to have it at the location. Please act immediately and provide the required permits or plans. Failure to permit the structure will require the structure to be removed from the site. January 10, 2019 11.72.030 (M) LQMC -VIOLATION: Violation of any of the zoning or sign ordinances of the January 10, 2019 UNIFORM CODES city or any of the uniform codes adopted by the city including the Uniform Building Code, Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, plumbing code, electrical code, mechanical code, swimming pool code, firecode, health code and Uniform Housing Code. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Immediate action must be taken to correct the violation. 11.72.030 (A) LQMC - ABANDONED/PARTIAL CONSTRUCTION VIOLATION: Buildings or structures which are abandoned, partially destroyed or in a state of partial construction. CORRECTIVE ACTION: Obtain all required permits, inspections and approvals from the Design & Development Department. You must complete all the necessary repairs, constructions or demolitions. January 10, 2019 As a property owner in La Quinta, you undoubtedly share the pride which your community takes in its appearance. If you plan to do the work yourself, please do so with extreme caution as to prevent blow sand during wind storms. Cleared land requiring soil disturbance, shall be watered down or treated to aid compaction and prevention of blow sand. Failure to correct the above listed violation(s) within the time frame indicated will result in the City initiating abatement proceedings and/or criminal prosecution to correct the violation(s), All contractor abatement costs and a 25 % administrative fee shall be charged to the property owner(s) as a lien upon the property and shall become a personal obligation of the owner(s) of record. By acting immediately to correct the violation(s) referenced, you will avoid these and any future costs. If you object to the determination of cited violation(s), you must file a written protest to the Planning Commission no later than ten (10) days from the date of this notice.
