Mr. Porter,
Thank you for reaching out regarding this permit. For clarification, the application we
have received regarding this property is for a special event permit, not for a rezoning of
the property. Through our review process of the permit, City staff makes sure to
analyze potential impacts relating to noise, traffic, safety, and disturbances to adjoining
neighbors.
The permit is still currently under review by staff and the applicant has items that need
to be addressed before we can continue. We are also keeping track of all
correspondence we receive from surrounding residents to keep on file through our
review process to make sure all concerns are appropriately addressed and to keep in
mind as we move forward. This could include changes in event scope, conditions relating
to traffic flow, parking plans, noise monitors, orientation of music, etc.
If you have any further questions you’d like to speak about, feel free to give me a call
and I’d be happy to talk. Regards,

Subject: Morrow Ranch
Mr Flores:
We just learned yesterday that the new ownership of the Morrow Ranch is asking your department to
rezone its property.
We understand that the new owners would like to have planned events day and night as well as
rental of its property.
We am sure that you are aware of the noise, lighting, increased traffic and constant flow of people
throughout our peaceful community.
We are very much aware as you are of the situation the exists every April in our beautiful community
and appreciate the contribution of the events to our city.
We are not confident of this proposed new rezoning in our neighborhood considering the fact that we
moved from other communities for the tranquility and beauty of this city.
We therefore ask your department to reject the rezoning of the Morrow Ranch.
