In the event that you, or any other homeowner, would like to file a real time complaint
about possible violations at the property that you notice are occurring, there are two
avenues for you to do so. First, you may call our short term vacation rental hotline at
(760) 777-7157. Information on this hotline and our vacation rental program can be
found here: https://www.laquintaca.gov/connect/short-term-vacation-rentals
Also, you can call our code compliance team at 760-777-7050 who are allowed to
inspect the site if you notice they are causing any violations. For example, if you hear
noise you believe to exceed our allowable noise standards, you may call those numbers
to file a complaint. I hope you find these phone numbers useful.
I also wanted to let you all know that there are no status updates on the proposed event
permit. The applicant has multiple items to address before moving forward.

It has come to our attention from the City of La Quinta that Morrow Ranch has applied for a “special events” permit, which
would allow them to hold weddings, corporate gatherings, Coachella corporate events, glamping and family retreats with a
maximum attendance of 500 people.
Morrow Ranch is a nine acre ranch which immediately borders our Fairways community …. East of the 4th hole on the
Norman course, West of Monterra, and immediately North of Brown Dear Park. The homeowners in Monterra and
Turnberry are directly effected but, in actuality,
we would all be effected by an increase in an already saturated rental market with short term rentals in our
neighborhoods. Thereby, allowing more, and more strangers in and around our gated community creating more noise,
additional traffic, and illuminating our tranquil, and peaceful environment during all hours of the day and night.
I strongly urge you to email the address’s below with your objections as soon as possible.
