Subject:Fwd: Morrow Ranch Event Permits
>Dear Mr. Flores,
>
> We live at Monterra in PGA West, one of the neighborhoods that is directly adjacent to Morrow
Ranch. A number of residents in our community, as well as our HOA Board, and residents in La
Quinta Estates and Griffin Ranch, have recently sent to the City letters of concern and objection
to Morrow Ranch’s request for a permit to host special events for the purpose of commercial
enterprise in and near areas that are zoned for Low Density Residential usage.
>
> To help me make informed decisions about this issue, I would appreciate it if you would please
provide me with your responses to the following questions:
>
> 1. I understand that there have been two special events at Morrow Ranch this year: the
Ryan Lochte wedding in September and another wedding this past weekend. Is that correct? If
not, what is correct?
>
> 2. I understand that a permit was required, requested and approved for this latest event. Is
that correct? If not what is correct?
>
> 3. Was a permit required for the Lochte wedding? If not, why not?
>
> 4. If a permit was required, was one requested? If requested, was it approved? If not, why
not?
>
> 5. If a permit was required but not requested, or if one was requested but not approved, was
Morrow Ranch fined or otherwise penalized for holding the Lochte wedding event in violation of
City regulations? If so, how much were they fined and/or penalized? If not, why not?
>
> 6. Has any timeline been established for the approval of Morrow Ranch’s major special events
permit request? If so, what is that expected timeline, and when would you expect the public
hearings on it to be held? Are there any other permit requests of any type outstanding for
Morrow Ranch?
>
> Thank you for your time and kindness in responding to my efforts to obtain the facts so I can
make informed and responsible decisions about this issue.
