Hi Scott,
I see no reason why you cannot separate the barn work from the residence and revise the scope
of work. They will essentially become two separate permits.
Code Enforcement may have an opinion about the fact you are not diligently proceeding with a
permit for the main structure, as would I. We (City) will need to review the information you
have provided here and reach back out to you with a definitive response regarding occupancy of
the residence until this matter is resolved.

Hi JW,
Quick update as certain items have taken a legal turn. Our attorney file a claim against the Title Company (FATCO) as
well as the prior owners and brokers related to the unpermitted improvements of the main residence. This was just
delivered this week and I have no idea what the timing is going to be. I mentioned my concerns to our attorney about
being responsive and complying with the City’s wants and he mentioned he could talk with the City Attorney to explain
the circumstances if it came to that. Let me know if that helps anything.
Now considering the main residence is held up in legal, I’m pushing to get the trailer information completed and
submitted to the State. I would also like to break out and submitted the barn plans independently since that has no
impact on the main residence legal issue. Is that ok?

I just reviewed a complete set of preliminary plans for each modular trailer and approved to proceed with structural,
Title 25 and electrical. There are some minor typo corrections that need to be made and once updated I can forward
you a preliminary set for reference.

I’m also making progress on the main house manufactured home. Found out the manufacturer is out of Riverside and
going to call this morning to see if I can get any records on the original build. Also for reference, opening up a lawsuit
against all parties on all the undisclosed unpermitted items on the main residence.

RE Trailer Plans Insignia
Hi JW,
Quick update. Juan went to the County of Riverside (HCD) and discussed the trailers. They agreed that they already
performed the initial insignia inspection and research, and then confirmed the plan information they need submitted to
proceed. Yesterday, we had a contractor remove portions of the ceiling within each unit to verify the roof structure so
the information can be accurately referenced on the plans. With the pedestal plan completed, Juan is working on the
trailer plans to get submitted to HCD. We will continue to keep you posted.
