SEALED teDS will be received by the City of La Quinta (City) .ii the Office of the
City Clerk located at 78.495 Calle -Tampico, La Quinta, California, 92253, until
mesa.S.M. on Monday, September 26, 2022 at which time they will be publicly
peened and read for performing work as follows;
The purpose of the project is to replace the existing low water crossing span-
ning the Coachella Vaey Storm Water Channel (CVSC) at Dune Palms Road
with a bridge crossing. The proposed work includes the roadway approach re-
construction to meet the proposed bridge structure elevation; street widening;
construction of curb, curb/gutter, sidewalk, trail. retaining wails. median pay-
ing, driveway approaches, concrete slope protection and 6-foot tall garden
wall; asphalt pavement with aggregate base; bridge construction; track sealing
and slurry sealing of roadway within construction limits; construction of a catch
basins and drywells along with 18" and 24' HOPE N-12 pipe; signing and
striping; landscaping and irrigation; and undergrounding of existing overhead
utility poles- Project will also require the construction and removal of a bypass
road, along with CVWD water main and sanitary sewer relocations, The sewer
relocations will require the Contractortc prepare and implement a sewer by-
pass plan, which will need to be approved by C11WD. Contractor will also be re-
quired to demolish two mobile homes along with the single-family home as
noted in the plans, includes the clearing of each housing pad and disconnecting
all utilities connections to the structures. All project work and incidental items
to complete the project shall be _performed In accordance with the plans, speci-
fications, and other provisions of the contract. All the above improvements are
to be constructed in a workmanlike manner, leaving the entire project in a neat
and presentable condition. Refer to Sections 3000 and 4000 for more informa-
tion.
This project shall be completed within 475 working days from the date specified
in the Notice to Proceed. Time for the commencement and completion of the
work Is important and is to be of the essence of the. Contract. The successful
bidder should plan to order any long lead time equipment items immediately
following "Notice of Award".
A pre.bid conference Is scheduled for 9:00 A.M., Thursday, September 8, 2022.
The pre -bid conference will be held at City of La Quinta, City Hall located at 78-
495 Celle Tampico, La Quinta, California 92253.

The project is partially funded with Federal Surface Transportation funds. As

pursuant thereto (29 CFR Parts 1 3, and 5) and any amendments thereof. Pur-
suant to the said regulations, the Federal Prevailing. Wage General Derision
CA20220025 Modiffratien No- B, dated August 12, 2022 herewith attached in
Section I300 CantraFt. However, the most recant Federal Prevailing Wage Deci-
sion In effect for Risrrside County within 10 days of the bid opening shall be
used.
Bidders shall promptly notify the City, In writing, about all the classifications of
labor not listed in the prevailing wage determinations but necessary for the
performance of the Work, before bids are submitted.
Bidders are advised that, as required by federal law, the City of La Quinta is im-
