Adriana,
A concern has been made that the construction of the wall is off the subject property and based on the
inspection performed by Mark Hunt on 8/10/2022 it was determined that is true – I have provided the
inspection comments below and also attached is the exhibit we used to establish the location of the rear
property line. If you feel this is not an accurate interpretation it would be the responsibility of the permit
holder to provide a site survey with the placement of the property corners by a licensed surveyor to prove
otherwise.

FOOTINGS
MEASUREMENTS TAKEN ON SITE SHOW THE SOUTH SIDE OF PROPERTY TO BE 100% ON THE PERMITTED
PROPERTY BUT THE NORTH SIDE SHOWS THE FOOTING TO BE ON BACK NEIGHBORS PROPERTY AT
LEAST PARTIALLY
RE INSPECTION FEE TO BE ASSESSED

To resolve this concern the footing will need to be moved to be entirely within a distance of 92’-2” on the
North Side and 105’-7” on the South Side from the Face of Curb, please see the attached rough grading
plan exhibit.

Hi Mark
According to the measurements you made yesterday based on a grading plan how many inches on the North side are we
encroaching on to the neighbor (44090 Mariposa Ct)?
What part of the house did you get the measurements?
Did you also do the same just to make sure with 44090 Mariposa Ct or did you only do it with property 44090 Calico Cir?
The reason why I am asking this is because maybe the measurements you took without verifying both properties is not
right and this is causing a problem for my client and the project. I have been trying to cooperate with you to do this job
correctly.
1) you asked me to clean the footings
2) you asked for a worker to wait for you for 2 hrs with a 100 ft tape
3) I left a worker for you for more than 2 hrs
4)I had to pay the inspection footings again
5) you did not answer my email with questions yesterday
“Is there a problem with the installation of the rebars Or is there a problem with the trench I made?”
I did the North, East, West and South walls for the property 44125 Calico Cir 2 years ago and I never had a problem with
these things.
All the existing walls behind the properties dividing 44215, 44185, 44155, 44125, are all aligned. Now we are working on
property 44095 Calicó and were getting in our property for at least 4 inches, how is it possible that you are telling us we
are encroaching on to the neighbors?? So Are all the other existing walls done wrong then?
Thank you Mark and I hope you understand our concern and hope you help in answering my questions because I would
like to inform the homeowner.
Or can you please let us know what we can do for proceed

Good afternoon Inspector. Can you please explain what part of the rebar installation and footing trench
is not right according to the details you guys already approved.
My worker told me that you didn’t pass the inspection in my project. I really want to know why this
inspection doesn’t pass.
Can You please provide why? I want to have record of this to provide it to the home owner.
Thank you

Good morning Inspector. Thank you for the notification. One of my workers will be
there at the job site waiting from 9:30‐11:30. Hopefully everything goes well with the
footing inspections. My guy will be ready with the 100’ tape you are requiring for the
inspection so you can proceed.
Thank you

To Whom It May Concern
Due to the neighbor complaining that the block wall for permit
BWFE2022‐0305 is encroaching on her property, the City of La Quinta is
requiring a 100’ tape to be on site for the footing inspection to proceed.
Measurements will be taken from the curb according to the grading
plans on file with the City to see where the property line falls.
