ALL HOME OCCUPATIONS SHALL COMPLY WITH THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
1. The establishment and .conduct of a home occupation shall be an incidental and accessory use and shall not change the
principal character or use of the dwelling unit involved.
2. Only residents of the dwelling unit may be engaged in the home occupation.
I A home occupation shall be conducted only within the enclosed living area of the principal dwelling unit or within the
garage provided no garage space required for off-street parking is used. The home Occupation shall not occupy more than
twenty-five percent of the combined floor area of the house and garage.
4. A home occupation shall not be conducted within a detached accessory structure, although materials may be stored in
such a structure.
5. There shall be no signs, outdoor storage, parked vehicles or other exterior evidence of the conduct of the home
occupation.. Neither the dwelling nor the lot shall be altered in appearance so that it appears other than a residence, either
by color, materials, construction, lighting, sounds, vibrations or other characteristics.
6. Electrical or mechanical equipment which creates interference in radio, television or telephone receivers or causes
fluctuations in line voltage outside the dwelling unit shall be prohibited.
7. The home occupation shall not create dust, noise or odors more than that normally associated with residential use.
8. No sales activity shall be conducted Froth the dwelling except for mail order sales. The dwelling unit shall not be the
Point of customer pickup or delivery of products or services, nor shall a home occupation create greater vehicular or
pedestrian traffic than normal for the district in which it is located. Exception: Musical instruction and academic tutoring
where not more than two students are present at the residence at the same time shall be permitted.
9. Medical, dental or similar occupations in which patients are seen in the home are prohibited.
10. All conditions attached to the Home Occupation permit shall be fully complied with always.
Revocation or suspension of a permit. The director of Code Compliance may revoke or suspend any permit for a Home
Occupation if the director determines that any of the performance and development standards Iisted in subsection C of this
section have been or are being violated, that the occupation authorized by the permit is or has been conducted in violation
of any state statute or city law, or that the home occupation has changed or is different from that authorized when the
permit was issued.

WORKER'S COMPENSATION
If your company has employees, a copy of the Workman's Compensation Insurance Policy must accompany the Business License
application, indicating dates of coverage and dollar amount. The proof of coverage must be received before the Business License can
be processed.
If you do not have employees, please check the last section on this page on this page: "I certify that..."
If your business is being operated from your home in La Quinta, a Home Occupation Permit is required before a Business License is
issued.

Welcome! The following information is for your reference. It contains some important suggestions and pertinent information
about the policies of this self storage facility.
1. Your fee is 88.00 and is due on the first (Is') of each month.
2. We will not send you a paper bill. Please marl your payment or bring it into the office. Rent must be paid before 5:00 P.M. in
the office on .or before the 10th. Payments "dropped off' after office hours on the 1 Oth will be considered late, and will be subject to a
late fee.
3. If we have not received your payment by the 10th day of the month, your gate access will be denied. Additionally, we will
charge a late fee on the I Ith day and access to the unit will be restricted until full payment is received.
4. If your payment is not received by the 301' of the month, we will process your unit for public auction.
5. No partial payments. Any agreement between tenant and management to extend payment dates or defer sale of goods must be in
writing and signed by both management and tenant to be binding.
6. A 35.00 fee is automatically charged for all returned checks. All future payments must be made by; cash, credit card or money
order. After two returned checks we will no longer accept checks from you.
7. We do not assume liability for the goods you store. Adding stored goods to an existing policy is generally unavailable. We offer a
protectin policy for yor stored goods. Please inquire with the manager for details.
8. Do not use the rental unit for anything but DEAD STORAGE. Do not store any food, flammable, explosive or illicit materials.
The unit is to be used for storage only.
9. The storage unit must be vacated on or before the last day of the month for which rent has been paid and all terms and conditions
of this agreement are met by the tenant.
10. The storage unit must be broom clean, emptied, in good condition - and ready to re -rent.
11. Tenant's lock must be removed upon termination of occupancy. Failure to remove lock will result in your being charged
the next month"s rental and late fees (if applicable).
12. Gate hours are from 6:00 A.M. to I0:00 P.M., seven days a week. The gate will not open after 10:00 (P.M.), so please be out
on time.
13. Office hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.. Monday through Friday. Saturday 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Closed Sunday.
14. We do prorate when you vacate a unit, before the 10th. If your unit is not vacant on the tenth (10th) day of the month, a full
month's rent is due.
15. Only one lock is allowed per door latch. If more than one lock is found, you may be subject to a 25.00 administration fee for
the removal of that lock. You must provide your own lock and retain posession of your own keys.
16. Do not follow someone through the gate without first putting in your access code. The gate may close on you or you may not
be able to exit.
17. Please keep us updated of any address changes and/or phone number changes. Until we are notified in writing with your
signature, the only valid address and telephone number present is on the lease.
18. Please Ieave aisles clear and do not block another tenant's door.
19. Delivery drivers are to be met promptly and are not to block the front driveway or gate under any circumstances.
20. Minimum rental term is one (1) month. Rent is charged until your lock is removed.
21. No dumping, abandoning or leaving items next to the dumpster or anywhere on the property. A $25 dumping fee is assessed if
you are found dumping. Smile you are on camera!
22. We will strictly enforce all policies and conditions in our contract.
