AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE SHORT -FORM AGREEMENT
WITH LOGIC COMPENSATION GROUP, LLC.
This Amendment No. 1 ("Amendment 1") to the Short -Form Services
Agreement ("Agreement") is made and entered into as of the 1st day of
December, 2022, ("Effective Date") by and between the CITY OF LA QUINTA
("City"), a California municipal corporation and LOGIC COMPENSATION
GROUP, an Arizona limited liability corporation ("Vendor").
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on or about October 1, 2022, the City and Vendor entered
into an Agreement to provide professional job description writing services for
a total not to exceed amount of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000). The term
of the Agreement expires on June 30, 2023 ("Initial Term"); and
WHEREAS, the City and Vendor mutually agree to execute Amendment
1 and amend Section 5 Compensation of the Agreement for a total not to
exceed amount of Forty -Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($49,500); and
WHEREAS, the City and Vendor mutually agree to amend Exhibit B
Schedule and Scope of Services and Exhibit C Compensation for Services,
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenant herein
contained, the parties agree as follows:

In consideration of the foregoing Recitals and the covenants and
promises hereinafter contained, and for good and valuable consideration, the
sufficiency and receipt of which are hereby acknowledged, the parties hereto
agree as follows:
1. Section 5 is amended to read as follows:
COMPENSATION. Vendor shall receive compensation for services
rendered under this Agreement at the rates and schedule set forth in
the attached Exhibit "C" but in no event shall Vendor's compensation
exceed Forty -Nine Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($49,500) without
written amendment.
2. Exhibit B - Scope and Schedule of Services is amended as attached
in "Exhibit B", attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3. Exhibit C - Compensation for Services is amended as attached in
"Exhibit C", attached hereto and made a part hereof.
In all other respects, the original Agreement shall remain in effect.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the City and Consultant have executed this
Amendment No.4 to the Agreement on the respective dates set forth below.

EXHIBIT "B"
SCOPE AND SCHEDULE OF SERVICES
Vendor shall provide the following services related to the classification study:
• Review existing job descriptions, employee completed forms or other
job documentation information, and other available classification
information.
• Present available job evaluation methodologies and aid the City in the
selection of the City's methodology.
• Conduct employee focus group/individual employee interviews.
• Discuss reviewed specifications with department heads and/or division
managers.
• Finalize classification structure and crosswalk and job evaluation.
• Allocate recommendations of employees based on the information
attained from the study.
• Provide City with recommendations on policy and procedure issues
associated with various methodologies, maintenance processes and
related administrative issues.
• Develop and received City approval of the classification specification/job
description format appropriate to electronic maintenance in draft form.
• Schedule and conduct training for HR as appropriate in the use of the
new classification and job evaluation system.
• Provide final report outlining all processes, methodologies, findings, and
present recommendations to the City.
• Discuss recommendations with stakeholders.

Fee Estimate: $25,000 to $44,000 plus job description writing cost
'The classification study fees do not include writing classification specifications given the number of
classification specifications is unknown. Fee will be $225 per written job description.
*If the City desires on -site interviews, focus groups and/or final report presentation, the cost will be
billed separately at $1,000 per day.
For work beyond that specified in this proposal, additional fees and out-of-
pocket expenses will be involved. The Vendor is available for discussion if the
City requests services beyond the stated scope. The Vendor guarantees the
rates below, for a minimum of one (1) year following completion of the City's
study.
