Our community is such a beautiful and desirable place to live.  We moved here to live on a golf course that is like paradise.  We appreciate this environment and want to keep this gem of the desert safe from developers who wish to profit from a use that does not fit with its surroundings. The location for the wave park does not work harmoniously with the residential neighborhood.  It would be more suited on the Highway 10 corridor.  Madison Avenue would be transformed from a lovely landscaped boulevard to a throughway with stoplights and widened lanes.  I wouldn’t want to ride my bike there anymore.  I feel sorry for my neighbors who bought their homes there, and now will have to endure broadcast noise and heavy machinery.  I really enjoy the desert sky at night, but star watching will be ruined by floodlights til 10 pm.  I went to view the demonstration lights in December, and one those two lights are filled in with 15 more, it will be like a shopping center parking lot thrust in between the homeowners and their mountain view. There are so many reasons to say no to this proposal.  One of the biggest reasons is the massive amounts of fresh water it will consume.  During times of drought, I feel we all must do our part to conserve.  We have a choice to say no to this new strain on our resources.   I ask for your decision to say no, this is not the right place and does not fit our community plans. Thank you, Brenda Vatland La Quinta Firefox https://outlook.office.com/mail/AAMkAGJiMWY1OTY1LTBhY2EtN... 1 of 1 4/2/22, 10:42 AM
