This is the 1st VMT analysis we've received since the July 1, 2020 deadline for having VMT included with projects now. Can you read the attached 8-9 page letter and then we have a ZOOM call where we all could discuss? Let us know what your availability this week is - so we can calendar a call Thanks ************************************************************************** Steve, Is there someone at Wildan who can help us understand the VMT analysis better? Cheri and I would really appreciate having a consultation with someone who knows how this analysis works. Please let us know! Nicole Page 2 of 3 Nicole Sauviat Criste Principal ******************************************************************** My summary: the VMT analysis was submitted, the project says it will mitigate its VMT as follows: • the required reduction is 15%, the project reduces just 10.3% • the project wants to claim several TDM measures to make up the difference: O 3% for use of non -autos for nearby commercial trips from residential homes O 2% for pedestrian sidewalks to interconnect residential and commercial O 1% for TMD strategies like publications, event promotions and residential benefits to use the resort amenities • Therefore 10.3% + 6.0% if allowed would be greater than 15% • and the employment side of VMT is 21.56 for entire Coachella Valley and this project is 21.53 - so they say they have no mitigation for this aspect Page 3 of 3
