Ms. Flores —
Good afternoon, My name is Michael Mirelez I am the new Director of Cultural Affairs for Cabazon
Band of Cahuilla Indians. I am resending this notification of my position and in accordance with
AB-52 am requesting on behalf of the Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians that the Band be notified
of all potential projects and developments that La Quinta will be possibly doing so that the Band
may have a voice in protecting it's Cultural Resources.
Please see attachment as the Chairman's letter of recognition of my position.
Concerning the second attachment, this is a flyer I received today concerning the Coral Mountain
project.
The Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians has concerns with this proposed project due to the fact
that it poses a threat to cultural resources that are located within the project area.
For this reason the Cabazon Band of Cahuilla Indians requests copies of all;
* Cultural Report and Environmental Impact Reports
* Topo Maps of the Project
* Native American Monitor(s) be present during any future ground disturbing proceedings,
including surveys and archaeological testing, associated with this project.
Your cooperation in making this happen is greatly appreciated.
