NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
IOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of
he City of La Quinta ("City") and the La Ouinta
ledevelopment Agency ("Agency") will hold a joint
)ublic hearing in the, Council Chambers of the La
duinta City Hall, 78-495 Calle Tampico, La Quinta,

California on December 5, 2008, beginning -at 7.
o.M. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be
ward, for (i) the City's and Agency's consideration of
a proposed Disposition and Development
Agreement ("DDA") between the Agency and LOD
SilverRock, LLC ("LDD"); and (ii) the City's
consideration of a proposed Development
Agreement between the City and LDD. The purpose
of the hearing is to receive public testimony on the
proposed DDA and Development Agreement. The
DDA would facilitate LDD's acquisition and
development of hotel, conference and retail uses on
certain property located at the SilverRock Resort.
SilverRock Resort is located southwest of the
intersection of Jefferson Street and Avenue 52 in the
City of La Quints, California. The DDA and the
Developeement provide that LOD Will
purchase approxent imately ly 54.43 acres of Property from
purchase app
the Agency at fair market value, and develop an
approximately 225 room boutique hotel,
approximately 24 units of ranch villa hotel space with
conference facilities, an approximatey 405 room
resort hotel with adjoining casita units, and tl Ito
8o,000 square feet of resort retail uses (colie ctivey,
the "Project'l. The Development Agreement would,
among other things, (1) provide for payment to the
City of certain in -lieu and mitigation payments
designed to ensure that the City receives projected
transient occupancy tax revenue from the Project;
and (2) vest certain rights to LDD in accordance with
existing land use regulations.
Any person may submit written comments on these
matters to the Community Development Department
prior to the hearing and/or may appear and be heard
in support.of or opposition to the DDA or the
Development Agreement at the time of'the hearing.
If you challenge the decision of this case in court,
you, may be limited to raising only those issues that
you or someone else raised either at the public
hearing, or in written correspondence delivered to
the Community Development Department at, or prior
to, the public hearing. Furthermore, you must
exhaust any administrative remedies prior to com-
mencing a court challenge to City/Agency action.
