A maximum distance of 159.29 feet will limit the
voltage drop to 30/0 or less with 1 parallel (set) of
8 AWG Copper conductor delivering a total of 30
amps on a 220 volt 1 phase system

• All outlets supplied by single-phase, 15A and 20A,
125V or 240V branch circuits for swimming pool
pump motors are required to have GFCI protection.
It should be noted that 680.22(B) applies to
these outlets regardless of their proximity to the
swimming pool and that it applies to cord -and -
plug connected and direct connected (hard -wired)
swimming pools pump motors (California Electrical
Code §680.22(B))
MASONRY & POOL INTERIOR

EQUIPOTENTIAL BONDING
Structural reinforcing steel in concrete shell,
equipment, electrical parts, and any metallic
components will be bonded to the existing
equipotential bonding grid with a solid copper
conductor not smaller than 8 AWG with listed
pressure connectors, terminal bars, exothermic
welding, or other listed approved means.
Perimeter surfaces. We will use equipotential
bonding conductor meeting all of the following
requirements: (1) 8 AWG bare solid copper bonding
conductor connected to the pool reinforcing steel.
(2) The bonding conductor will follow the contour
of the perimeter surface. (3) Bonding conductor will
be 18 to 24 in. from the inside walls of the pool. (4)
Bonding conductor will be secured within or under
the perimeter surface 4 to 6 in. below the subgrade.
SAFETY
• Split pool and spa main drains 3' feet away from
each other, hydraullically balanced with anti-
entrapment/vortex main drain covers (approved by
ASTM/ASME) in compliance w/VGB Safety Act.
• Enclosure 5' tall minimum with self closing
& latching doors and exit alarms on doors to
backyard to be provided.
CONSTRUCTION & GOVERNMENT CODES

2. Government Code Section 4216.2. (a) (1) Except in
an emergency, any person planning to conduct
any excavation shall contact the appropiate
regional notification center, at least two working
days, but not more than 14 calendar days,
prior to commencing that excavation, if the
excavation will be conducted in an area that
is known, or reasonably should be known, to
contain subsurfcae installations other than the
underground facilities owned or operated by
the excavator and, if practical, the excavator
shall delineate with white paint or other suitable
markings the area to be excavated.
