Water Flow information is not consistent with the 6/24/2019 CVWD Flow Analysis provided. b. The GREAT RM & LIVING AREA is not compliant with any of the 5 situations outlined in NFPA 13D Section 10.2.1.*3-head calc at this location is necessary (10.2.4) c. Plans show a TY2234 Pendant located in the “Sauna” room. Confirm if corrosion resistant. Confirm if High Temp as required by NFPA 13D 7.5.6.3(4). d. Sprinkler coverage in the “Game Room” requires adjustment. Reference Section 8.3.7 for ceiling pocket coverage. There are 3 pockets within the compartment, and each are approximately 73 square feet and a depth of about 18”. Each ceiling pocket should be provided with fire sprinkler protection within the pocket. e. Under “Piping Notes” there is a statement “SINGLE HEAD COMPARTMENT SPACING NOT TO EXCEED MAXIMUM SPACING 20X20”. Plans and calculations do not provide supporting information for this. f. Identify the dimensions of the fluorescent tray light fixtures in the garage. Many of the semi- recessed pendant sprinklers are located close enough to them to pose a possible obstruction concern. g. Plans indicate a total of 10 heads protecting the “Outdoor Bar & Living” – These are not required but would be acceptable. Please include a note/disclaimer of the voluntary installation. h. Unable to location the single location of the TY3131 Upright head identified in the Sprinkler Legend. 2) Hydraulic calculations require corrections of the following details: a. The minimum flow demand for the TY3596 K4.9 head is 13.0 GPM @ 7.0 PSI per the manufacturer specifications. (Calcs identify 12.96 GPM) b. Update/correct the Water Supply information to be consistent with the CVWD Fire Flow Analysis. *CVWD also typically provides a Residential Connection Charge Estimate that may be used. This report document actually provides water supply information from the discharge side of the water meter.
